Portrait of Oliver Laird who joins Shepherds Friendly board as a Non-Executive Director

We’re delighted to welcome Oliver Laird as a Non-Executive Director on our Board.

His appointment comes during an exciting start to the year for Shepherds Friendly, with the recent launch of our first TV advertising campaign and as we prepare to celebrate our 200th anniversary.

Over the past 20 years, Oliver has developed his professional experience across multiple sectors such as retail and financial services. He specialises in delivering strategic change and operational improvements.

Oliver commented:

“I’m delighted to join Shepherds Friendly as it nears its 200th anniversary. This is an exciting time to be part of the Society and support its growth, ensuring it continues to meet the needs of today’s members while staying true to its culture and mutual values.”

Our Chair, Mark Myers said:

“I’m delighted to welcome Oliver to our Board. We carefully select any new non-executive directors based on their values, experience and how they will fit into our working culture here at Shepherds Friendly. With his extensive knowledge and passion for our culture and members, I’m certain Oliver will be a welcome addition to our team.”
