We’re proud to announce that Shepherds Friendly has brought home a Highly Commended from the UK and European Employee Engagement Awards 2019.
The sold-out awards ceremony took place on Thursday 23rd January 2020, in the beautiful art deco surroundings of London’s Troxy. In a room full of representatives from big-name companies such as John Lewis, Nestlé and Three, we were delighted to be named amongst the Highly Commended businesses on the night.
This accolade was awarded to Shepherds Friendly for the ‘Experience Award’ category. This acknowledges companies whose investment in employee engagement has had a positive effect on the customer experience and business performance overall.
Libbi Martin, Senior Marketing Manager at Shepherds Friendly, attended the event on Thursday and is pleased with the result:
“At Shepherds Friendly, we know that happy staff means happy members. Both are at the heart of our values and we work hard to maintain this balance between employee engagement and member satisfaction.
“To have our efforts recognised at a prestigious event like the Employee Engagement Awards is something for our whole team to be proud of. The hard work doesn’t stop here though, we’re continuously looking for ways to improve the employee experience and member journey, with lots to come for 2020.”

Being Highly Commended in a category dedicated to this idea shows that we must be doing something right!”
The year has only just begun, and we already have brand new plaque to add to our trophy case. The next awards we have our sights set on are the British Bank Awards 2020 – we’re finalists in two categories! Plus, stay tuned as there will be more awards news to come throughout the year.
